Greetings! Thank you for visiting my website to learn more about my portrait project in partnership with The Boy & Girls Club of Rochester, NY. I would like to give you more information about myself and the Image Elevation Project. I specialize in styled fine art portraiture and create beautiful custom art for my clients' homes. I serve the Rochester, NY area, photographing both on location outdoors as well as in my studio space located next to Artisan Works. The Inspiration:

1.) The Swan Dream Project by professional ballerina, Aesha Ash. From her website, "The Swan Dreams Project's goal is to convey the message that beauty and talent are not constrained by race or socio-economic status. I want our youth to know that they are not limited by stereotypes nor by their environment, but only by their dreams."

2.) My background in developmental and child psychology as well as my experiences as an elementary school teacher.

The Goals:

The Image Elevation Project has two goals.

1.) To provide children and their families with a memorable experience that is meant to be enjoyable, empowering, and enriching to the children's self-esteem.

2.) To create images that show beauty and joy in children who are typically under-represented in fine art portraiture. The hope is that other children will see these portraits and gain a stronger sense of self-worth as well.   

Families interested in participating in the Image Elevation Project are asked to fill out an application through the link below. Depending on the number of applications, families will be chosen at random to participate and other families may be offered a session at a later time. If selected, families will receive a complimentary session for their children with styling from my Client Closet of couture gowns and accessories, 5 digital files with print release, and one matted fine art print. (Total value over $1,000.) 

Requirements for Participation:

1.) Complete Online Application

2.) Participating families need to be available to have a planning meeting with me either through Zoom or over the phone before the day of the session.

3.) During the session, only parents and children attend. Masks must be worn by parents at all times. Children need to wear masks while dressing and between shots as much as possible.

4.) Parents sign a general portrait contract and model release.
